I will preface this with the note that I and my friend Lisa tried this because we thought my girlfriend was joking about the pain she was in from a tanner.

It is Friday night, my girlfriend is in agony from tanning for 7 minutes with this product. I tried a small amount on my arm (sans tanning) and it burned so badly I ended up dousing it in milk and washing off in a sink to try and stop the burn. Our friend Lisa tried it on her forearm and she has developed what looks like a raised relief map of Asia on her forearm after contact with this.

“They should not call it tingle, they should call it burning like fire in hell” – just heard that from one of the people here.

I have the shape of a red pickle on my arm, Lisa really regrets trying it. I scratched my arm and it felt like I scraped the skin off my arm.

I called the number to ask them what is up as my girlfriend is in agony and, well, it’s 10:20 on a Friday night and they’re not answering. I did not expect much but thought perhaps there might be a product recall on the line. This feels like a cheese grater and gasoline.

8am Saturday, I edit the review and add this. My arm is slightly red where I put the lotion – please note this is red, not bronze, nor tan. My girlfriend who tanned with it sees no difference between where she put it on and where she didn’t, and I can’t see any difference on her skin either. So, hours of pain (not tingle, it was pain) for nothing.

By touch I can tell where it was on my arm, the skin is pretty sensitive.

There are warning on the bottle to not handle children for hours after using this product. Heed these warnings.

I have used this lotion before and I remember it being better then than now. It has a hot intense tingle for the first few minuets but then fades away. I dont feel i get as dark as i should be with this lotion. maybe its just the tanning beds im using but id like to see darker results. but for the price i think its a good buy.

This is a good lotion, but it is NOT for the casual indoor tanner.

I hadn’t been tanning in about 3 weeks and when I tried this lotion out, it was fine at first – but after I left the salon, I felt like I had fire ants biting my arms and legs. It took over an hour for the itching to stop.

The next time I tried this lotion, I had a good base tan and my skin simply tingled during and after the tanning session with no itching at all.

This lotion goes on warm and has a nice smell to it, and allows for a darker tan – so if you want to try a tanning lotion with a little kick and you don’t want to pay full price for it at the salon, this is the one for you.

This lotion is awesome. I have fair to medium skintone and am over 40. I used this lotion for the first time this season. I love it! It’s got a tingle, but not too much, just don’t get it in your eyes or up your nose like I did!!!!(Ya know, cuz I am a spazz!) When I tan indoors, I enjoy my experience. It is like therapy for me. This lotion smells good, keeps my skin tight and soft and works great.

I have to tell you, that I walk into my salon and the tanned girls that work there go “Oh my God, You are sooooo tan.” The girls at work all copied the name of the lotion into their cell phones because they want it too. It is incredible. Get it. Oh and I tried another lotion called Roar. I ordered more of the Goddess before I even made a dent in the bottle of Roar. Be tan and look healthy!

This was my first time ever doing indoor tanning before. Normally, I just get tan from being outside, but with college and work, there wasn’t time during the middle of the day. A close friend recommended this to me, and I love it! My friends and coworkers comment on my nice tan, saying that I have a “healthy glow” to it. I notice a difference, I’m not just a tan brown color, it’s got that nice golden glow to it. Worth the money by far! The smell is nice, not overpowering, and I can’t understand why other reviewers don’t like it. When done tanning, my skin is soft and supple. My boyfriend absolutely LOVES how my skin smells and feels after I go tanning!

I was a little afraid that the DHA would “stain” my skin and add a fake color, but that’s simply not the case here. My skin looks healthy, natural, and not “fake-baked” at all. I will definitely buy this again!

I like this product because it doesn’t make you smell like you went tanning. It’s super easy to get off your hands and it works better than all the other lotions I’ve tried. It makes your tan last for weeks which saves money!! Three weeks after I stopped tannin, people were still asking about my deep color. You tan very quickly using this lotion also. I was amazed when I used a sticker my first time and peeled it off to see a difference!! I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!

I purchased this lotion after reading mixed reviews online. A girl I work with used this lotion this year and her results were incredible… ( but come to find out, she’s just one of those chicks with the easiest to tan skin); unlike me who is very pale w/light brown hair. I started the tanning season off this year by using “Paint it black” by Millennium, which got me a descent base tan in about 3 weeks and was quite cheap. I was at the “Tanning Plateau” with that lotion so I tried 14 karat. First off, The smell is awful, awful to the point when your in the bed you feel nauseous b/c the smell is so overpowering, its like a weird pear smell. I read the review of the bad smell and said ahh.. what the heck I like pears, it wont be that bad. No, it really is that bad. I feel bad to waste a full bottle of lotion or to give it to anyone else and have them endure the awful smell…So overall, the lotion is o.k w/its tanning abilities and does leave the skin feeling soft, but the negatives (smell) outweigh any of its positive attributes to me. So be warned…lol But, I got a free sample of a new product by Australian Gold, its called Creamy Gelato. It freaking rocks! It has a Vaseline gel like consistency w/hardly any scent. It absorbs into the skin so nice and when you get out of the bed you are not greasy nor sweaty. I really don’t know about the long term affect of this lotion seeing as how I only tried it once this afternoon but I will definitely be buying this one soon.
